Kim

Hi!  My name is Kim and I’m the nosey one in the office!  I will be the one asking you all the questions about your health, eye conditions if any, and about the medications you are currently taking.  Then I will probably ask you about your job and or school and about you lifestyle.  This will help us to determine what glasses and or contact lenses would be best for you.  Now that I know a little bit about you we can continue the pre-test examination by measuring for near and far acuity, peripheral vision, and retinal imaging. Having all this information and these measurements will enable the optometrists to devote their time to patient care.

Now, it is only fair that I tell you a little bit about myself.  I was raised in Kincardine, Ontario, a small town on the shore of Lake Huron. Before joining the team, I worked in a group home for Community Living for 12 years and did some Retail Management. I started my employment at Bolton Optometry Clinic in September 2007. I was hired as a Receptionist, but with training and leadership, I now perform all the Pre-Exam Testing.  I am proud to announce that I have just registered for the Optometric Assistant course with the Canadian Association of Optometry.
