Home » News and Events » Eye See…I Learn Program comes to Bolton

An exciting new program is coming to all junior kindergarten classrooms throughout Bolton. It is called Eye See...Eye Learn!

Children who participate in the program will receive a free comprehensive eye exam by an optometrist (covered annually by OHIP) and a free pair of high quality eyelgasses should they require them.

Look for your child's Eye See...Eye Learn participant package. All materials will be sent home by your child's JK teacher when they begin school.

Good Vision is an important part of learning. Help your child succeed by having their eyes examined by an optometrist.

  • 80% of classroom learning is done through the eyes
  • 1 in 6 children have a vision problem significant enought to impair their ability to learn
  • Children with poor vision often find it difficult to focus on their work and may be misdiagnosed as having a learning or behavioural disability
  • Good vision is vital to developing sk ills such as reading, copying and hand eye coordination
